Joanne Courtney-Walker, RN

Joanne Courtney- Walker received her degree in Nursing from Dalhousie University in 1984. She has had a diverse work experience beginning in the bone marrow transplant and cardiovascular units in Vancouver. In 1987 she returned to Halifax and continued her career in the cardiovascular ICU. Joanne has worked in the Cardio Pulmonary Program and briefly worked with VON assisting the Kosovo refugees in 1999.
For the past number of years she has worked as a clinical research coordinator in cardiology, neurology and currently works at the Nova Scotia Rehabilitation Center with stroke, spinal cord and MS patients.
She lives in Halifax with her husband Wayne and two children, Kate and Chris.
