Krista Courtney-Cox, RN, BScN

Krista Courtney-Cox began her nursing career after receiving her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Dalhousie University in 1992. She has a unique mix of work experience in acute and chronic disease management in a clinical setting, community health promotion, and research. The majority of her career has been in the field of cardiology and she recently completed a six year contract working with a project that has received international recognition and by the Health Council of Canada as being best practice in Nova Scotia. This project involved working in community based research in a primary care setting. She has also worked in the same day cardiac investigation unit with coronary angiography and angioplasty at CDHA. She is a positive, articulate, enthusiastic and passionate nurse with broad experience in the areas of cardiology, health promotion and prevention, disease management, motivational interviewing, and behaviour change.
Krista lives in Halifax with her two beautiful boys, a Siberian Husky, eco aquarium frogs, and leopard geckos.
